ABOUT THE BIRTH OF LAVIDAYARN
The joy of creating, a fulfillment of my creativity that has been dormant since I was a little girl, led to the creation of LaVidaYarn products.
My last name, Vida, is included in the brand name, while La Vida means life in Spanish and Yarn means yarn in English – LaVidaYarn symbolizes the thread of life that we weave into each of our unique, handmade products.
My mother taught me to crochet on a cold winter evening in a small Hungarian village, and I owe my love of it to her. Since then, not a day goes by that I don't indulge in this passion of mine and experience the joy of creation and creativity, for which I am forever grateful.
The mission of LaVidaYarn is to pass on the positive energy I have experienced with my fellow creators to those who love handmade, high-quality Hungarian products.
We hope that it makes you as happy when you wear and use our products as it makes us when we make them.

The cornerstones of the brand are sustainability and uniqueness, and my goal is to make it a true power women brand.

I don't even remember exactly who introduced me to crochet, but several people in our family made the then very popular crocheted tablecloths for the nips. At the time, I learned the patterns from the weekly magazine Fürge ujjak. I still love crocheting to this day, but now I look for new ideas on the Internet. I make Christmas decorations every year before the holidays.
At the beginning of 2022, inspired by my daughter, I started making baskets from recycled yarn, which brightened my gray winter days.
It is a special joy for me to be able to pass this knowledge on to my daughter, who now makes absolutely amazing things out of yarn.

My grandmother taught me how to knit when I was 6 years old. Everything! Starting, finishing, using up, knitting patterns. From then on, I knitted with varying intensities.
There were periods when I was active and there were years when I didn't have a knitting needle in my hand, but I always came back. Now, as a retiree, I have been enjoying the joy of creating for a few years.
I love challenges and for me this isn't climbing Mount Everest, it's just my couch with two knitting needles.

About 10 years ago I became interested in creative work, first in making beaded jewelry. At that time, I found time almost every day to indulge in this wonderful hobby. Later, beading was followed by sewing, then embroidery, and macramé.
I can experience peace in creation, I can retreat into my own world after a day full of hustle and bustle, and my embodied ideas fill me with happiness.
I make my products with the greatest love and hope to bring joy to as many people as possible with them.

In the 1980s, when my daughters were little, I sewed, knitted, and crocheted a lot of dresses, sweaters, and coats.
I have been working in accounting and tax consulting in Szekszárd since 1989. Besides my businesses, I didn't have time for my creative hobby, so I missed out on the creative years.
My children have moved out, started families of their own, and blessed me with seven grandchildren.
I retired in 2019.
After 30 years, I discovered baskets and bags made from T-shirt and cord yarn on the internet, and after finding the patterns from there, I started making wonderful products for the joy of my family and friends.
I enter a wonderful world when I create home decor products, wearable bags, and everyday objects from a magic circle. I hope these creative moments will accompany me for the rest of my life.
I really love nature, I travel a lot and take photos.
